BLENDED LEARNING

Students may register in some courses as teacher-directed subjects and some courses as parent-directed Home Education subjects.

To be eligible, minimum of 50% must be Teacher-Directed. The percentage calculation below is based on Alberta Education guidelines for instructional hours in each division. When you register online the calculation will total for you automatically. The teacher directed courses will be offered in the LearnNet delivery model.

High School

Students may register in some courses as teacher-directed subjects and some courses as parent-directed Home Education subjects.

Minimum blend percentage for high school is calculated based on number of credits as a percentage of a full 36 credit course load. The teacher directed courses will be offered in the LearnNet delivery model. 

Please note: although High School registration continues through out the year for semestered courses, students must make a decision to register in a blended program by September 30 each year. Student registrations in blended programs are fixed for the entire academic year. No additional high school courses may be added to this program choice after September 30.
