Argyll Centre, Edmonton Public Schools has launched an official Facebook page. You can visit it at facebook.com/argyllcentre

You DON’T need a Facebook account to view it. You DO need a Facebook account to “like” it.

When someone “likes” a page on Facebook, news from the page gets pulled into that person’s news feed. What we’re doing is similar to what many companies are doing on Facebook – creating a fan page and generating an audience for news and information.

Argyll also has a Twitter feed and we can be reached @argyllcentre

Argyll’s communication goals include enhancing our reputation, supporting people who are looking for information and generating interest and awareness of Argyll activities.

To do this, we use a variety of media outlets including traditional media like newspapers and TV. We also use social media (like Facebook, Twitter) and online advertisements and search engine features to connect with a variety of people who have an interest in our school – including parents, community members, staff, , students.

We’re using Facebook and Twitter because we know that people are actively using those tools, and it is easy for us to share Argyll information using them.
