Junior High Enrichment Opportunities

Site Based Programs 2010/2011

Onsite programming provides home based learners and home school families opportunities for educational support.  The onsite second language instruction is provided as an alternative to online delivery assuring that grade level curriculum objectives are addressed.  All other onsite programs support teacher-directed subjects but do not assure all curriculum objectives are covered.  These are presented as enrichment activities that provide direct teacher instruction in a group environment.  Students are provided opportunities for skill improvement and develop relationships with teaching staff and other Argyll students.

Please note that students enrolled in online teacher-directed subjects (LearnNet or Live Online) are provided direct teacher instruction through regular mandatory elive sessions.  These interactive sessions that involve formative feedback, classroom discussion and student collaboration are an integral part of online learning.   LearnNet and Live Online students need to plan onsite activites that do not conflict with their mandatory attendance at elive classes.
