Learning Partnership

Argyll's unique Learning Partnership program allows families to utilize the strengths of home-based learning while accessing enhanced support from Argyll teachers and resources. Education in the Learning Partnership is truly a collaborative effort between the home and the school, combining the strengths of parent-student, student-teacher, and parent-teacher interaction.

Achievement of Alberta Program of Studies outcomes in the Learning Partnership

Subjects pursued through the Learning Partnership follow the Alberta Program of Studies (APS). Students have access to approved and enhanced resources, both print and technological, through Argyll's Locker and Resource Center. Assessment of student progress toward APS outcomes is a joint responsibility of teacher and parent. Families can choose a Christian, faith based perspective within their Learning Partnership approach.

Choices within the Learning Partnership

A powerful, uniquely Argyll offering is the LiveOnline program in which students come together, through their home-based computers, into virtual classrooms for teacher guided instruction. Parents participate alongside their children, guiding them and enhancing their learning experience. Outside of the virtual classroom, students and parents have access to the support of their assigned teacher and of several technological tools that allow students to work together at their own pace.

Argyll’s online learning format, LearnNet, is a teacher-directed strategy that Learning Partnership parents can use as a resource for their home-based learning experience.

Some learning partnership parents prefer to work with their students and the teacher through the structured correspondence packages available through Argyll.
