The following are just some of the amazing accomplishments of our students: June, 2011Sarah McColman - Canada Wide Virtual Science Fair WinnerSarah has won first place in the Canada Wide Virtual Science Fair. She participated in our Argyll Cyber Science Fair and earned an honours standing. Sarah is also Argyll's first Canada Wide Virtual Science Fair entry ever. May, 2011Peter LockePeter has been nominated for the Premier Citizenship award, Michael A Strembitsky Award of Excellence, and The Kinsman club of Edmonton community service award. May, 2011Sarah Hyslop - Canada Science Fair winnerSarah participated in the Canada Wide Science Fair in Toronto this May, winning a gold medal and a scholarship to the University of Western Ontario. May, 2011Joey Gelowitz - Science Fair WinnerJoey Gelowitz has been on the Science Fair Trail and has participated in several Science Fairs this year. March, 2011Another Successful Year at Calgary Youth Science FairOnce again Argyll students had a proud showing at the Calgary Youth Science Fair. Argyll was able to send 9 students forward to the city wide competition and out of those students 100% achieved medals! June 3, 2010Jessica Bedard receives Kinsmen Community Service AwardThere was a total of 29 Awards and $1000 scholarships handed out. Jessica Bedard was the winner from Argyll Centre. May 12, 2010Intel International Science Fair ParticipantKent Williams-King has received a further honor in that he has been selected to attend the Intel International Science Fair in San Jose, California. Congratulations, Kent! May 12, 2010Canada Wide Science FairCalgary Youth Science Fair sends only 10 projects to carry forward and represent Calgary at the Canada Wide Science Fair. Argyll Centre is very honored that 2 of the 10 projects were by Argyll students. May 12, 2010Calgary Youth Science Fair WinnersThis year Calgary had 10 Argyll students participate in the Calgary Youth Science Fair. All 10 students received medals. November 12, 2009Storm Crowe receives RAP ScholarshipArgyll graduate receives $1,000 scholarship to further his training as a carpenter. June, 2009Argyll's First ValedictorianLindsay Kvellestad becomes Argyll Centre's first ever valedictorian. June, 2008Samantha Brown represents Argyll at the CEMC SeminarSamantha Brown was selected to represent Argyll School at the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) Seminar in Computer Science for Young Women, at the University of Waterloo. June, 2009Scholarship WinnerJessica Bedard wins ATA scholarship to attend the Seminar on the United Nations and International Affairs this summer. May, 2009Tennis ChampDavid Buzali wins big at United States Tennis Association (USTA) tournament in Houston. May, 2009National Society of High School Scholars MemberSpencer Freeman has been accepted as a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. April 4, 20092009 Regional Science FairsEighteen students from Argyll participated in science fairs in Edmonton and Calgary. Between them, they won 17 medals and 11 major awards. December, 2008Top Student & Science Fair ChampRachel Roberts was recently recognized by Edmonton Public Schools as Argyll’s top Grade 10 student for 2008. November, 2008Brothers Recognized for Character and Community ServiceArgyll brothers Matthew and Mitchell Kelm have been recognized for their outstanding character and service to the community for their involvement with KidSport. October 16, 20082008 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair winnerAs Argyll Centre’s highest achieving Grade 12 student, David Williams-King was recognized with a top academic award from Edmonton Public Schools. |
